Far from flattening the curve of infection, we are still well behind it. The disease initially took 67 days to infect 100,000 people; soon, 100,000 people and more will be infected daily. Without concerted and courageous action, the number of new cases will almost certainly escalate into the millions, pushing health systems to the breaking point, economies into a nosedive and people into despair, with the poorest hit hardest.

Tell us about your project. Bridging the Gap aimed to create awareness about scholarship opportunities for a group of high school graduates in Wajir, a marginalized area in Kenya. Apart from conducting a one-week mentoring program for the students, I met with stakeholders of education, specifically the Wajir County Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Education, Hon. Ahmed Wardere. It was an honor for me to discuss with him a myriad of things concerning the youth in the area, such as increasing mentoring programs.
What did you learn about yourself? I was a little fearful of how my project would go, but I realized that once I laid my hands on it, everything took shape. The lesson is to just dare to begin it.
How has the Live It Fund helped you think differently about what is possible for yourself? The first time I started an organization was three years ago. Since I focused on studying IT and computer science, I lost some confidence in myself, and my leadership skills declined. Live It Fund has once again rekindled my leadership skills, and this is my fourth organization born with many improvements and development compared to previous ones.

Fast forward about 10 years to day, the theme has reversed and this once in a lifetime opportunity is much larger. All the pieces are coming together for what could be the biggest metals and mining bull market of our lifetimes. Because of hydrogen's versatility and the decline in costs, Goldman Sachs believes it has massive growth potential. For example, it estimates that green hydrogen could become the largest electricity consumer in Europe, which is currently leading the way in its development. It could double the continent's demand for power, which would be good news for renewable energy development and conventional energy infrastructure like gas pipelines and thermal power plans since they could get converted for green hydrogen. Add in the opportunities in the U.S. and Asia, and the bank sees a nearly $12 trillion addressable market for green hydrogen by 2050. That led its analysts to call green hydrogen a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."
Green hydrogen has gone from a long-shot to a real possibility of helping achieve ambitious net-zero pledges thanks to rapidly falling renewable energy costs. Investors will want to keep a close eye on its development, since it represents a massive market opportunity. While there will likely be many winners if it's successful, NextEra Energy, Plug Power, and Brookfield Renewable stand out as intriguing candidates, given that their first-mover status in trying to turn green hydrogen from concept to reality.

This got me wondering, what else was built for use during the World Cup? What happens to all of the infrastructure afterwards, once the many game attendees leave? Qatar is a rich country, but not a wasteful one, so I assumed that they would be used somehow. So, I set out to find out what exactly for. I viewed it as a unique opportunity because the World Cup will not take place for four more years. Furthermore, Qatar as a host country was unique, because usually, the stadiums and games are spread out over multiple cities, rather than concentrated into one single one. So, it presented a one-of-a-kind opportunity for study.
I am so very grateful to the Park Program for their support. After hearing my idea to visit Qatar, my Park Faculty Mentor was very encouraging and looked over my grant once it was complete. I appreciate that Park understood how this was an unbelievably unique opportunity and funded the trip by awarding me a Park Enrichment Grant. 041b061a72
